Perdana Mountain Trail

One of the Most Unique Horseback Riding Trails in the World

If you have a whole day to ride and you have good riding skills, try our 75 km long Perdana Mountain Trail, an exclusive jungle trail which takes you through one of the most stunning virgin rainforests of the world.

The Perdana Trail, which includes climbing up a 650 metre high summit, is not for novice horse riders as it is regarded as an extreme trail.

You'll see some of the most captivating views along the way. You'll appreciate the fascinating and rare flora and fauna specimens along the way through our experienced guides who will explain the forest and its fascinating wildlife to you as you ride.

The idea to create the horse-riding trail was mooted by our former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who is an avid horseman with a number of fine Argentinean horses at our Island Horses stables.

What we're most proud of as we charted the Perdana Trail in November 2005 (with help from 30 local and foreign horsemen) is that not a single tree was felled from the start of the trail at the Seven Wells Waterfall. This trail meanders through the jungle, onwards to the Datai and through the mountain overlooking the Berjaya Resort.

At the summit of this remarkable trail, we even discovered a scenic and mesmerizing lake of the deepest blue! The view from this summit is breathtaking.

Besides our magnificent mountain trail, we are a unique equestrian centre for a number of reasons...
